BluStor Completes Seed Funding

BluStor PMC, Inc. today announced that it has raised an undisclosed sum from private investors. It will use the funds to create the initial version of its Personal Mobile Cloud platform. “The mobile computing market is maturing rapidly, and organizations and individuals need a secure and convenient way to manage identity authentication and confidential information. Patent Filed for Bluetooth-Enabled Smart Card with a Large Data Storage Volume

Exactly one year ago, the engineers of BluStor PMC, Inc. filed a patent application that describes a smart card comprised of the following key components: i) main processor; ii) mass storage with capacity of at least 10 MB for storing numerous biometric templates and other types of data; iii) cryptographic engine to perform cryptographic operations; iv) thin battery with associated circuitry for energy-harvesting; and, v) radio and associated antenna for wireless data transmission methods, including Bluetooth.
